I love that James's arm remains about Sirius even as he leans in to kiss Lily. Poor Sirius, being so close to what he wants and begin taunted with it-- but I'm sure he can't make himself leave all the same!

Poor Sirius. There's so much going on in this picture, James' arm around Sirius, Sirius's face, Lily's mouth, I can imagine the scenario that might have happened up until this point. I also find myself fixating on their clothing - how each one has their different style (oh, Lils, why are you wearing that shirt? Yellow does not go with red hair!) and how that matches their mood, in a way. Same thing with the colors. It's very expressive, and really adds to the tension.
