Discussion Question #7 It's safe to say that in one way or another, all of us can see ourselves or a trait we have in a character from a book. So which Harry Potter character do you relate to the most and why?
I can't say I completely identify with anyone, but I think, if I had to chose someone, it would be Ron. I relate to his insecurity about being compared to his siblings and I relate to his insecurities about not being as talented as his siblings and best friends. He's the one always in the background. And yet, he's a really nice guy and he's really loyal to his friends and really cares about them. I'm more introverted than Ron but I'm also loyal to my friends and I think I consider myself to be nice and friendly. Also, Ron has a temper (and people get all on him for that). I've been told I have a temper and I guess I do. But the thing about Ron and I is that we usually only freak out when we're upset or hurt or when the situation actually seems to warrant it for us. Other people don't always see it that way but it always feels like it from the inside.
