Notes: Thanks a lot youcantseeus for this prompt. I’ve wanted to write Sirius/Teddy for a long time but never could come up with the right direction. The story got away a little, I just couldn’t write a short fic, it got detailed and on and on. Thanks a lot digthewriter for the patience and awesome beta work. :)
Summary: Moving on is hard but it isn't necessarily a bad thing. It only takes a Lupin and nineteen years for Sirius to realise this. A detailed account of letting go of one love for another, of finding his home in the arms of a different Lupin again.

Awwww, I quite enjoyed this! When I left the prompt I never thought I'd be lucky enough to get a longish fic out of it, but then you just wrote this great 32K story. I do love fics of this length -- and I actually don't know of a completed Sirius/Teddy fic that's this long, so thank you so much for giving us one.

Anyway, I loved your Teddy -- how he just sort of went for it once he realized that Sirius liked him back and everything. And I loved how the fic showed the whole development of their relationship starting with when Teddy was very young. Sirius's feelings about Remus and how Remus came between them just broke my heart -- but I liked how the fic wasn't tooooo angsty about it. It was sort of upbeat and was all about Sirius moving on with his life.

Loool! First off, hello, muggle teammate. :D
Secondly, thanks for leaving that awesome prompt, I've never written Teddy in a romantic setting before and such an old mature Sirius so it let me try out something new. I know right? Even the few really good fics centering this pairing are usually quite angst-filled. And I do think Sirius has had enough angst in his life, I always do prefer giving the men a bit of a happy ending if I can, especially after writing such a long fic.

Really, I'm kind of amazed and utterly happy knowing that you liked the fic. Psst, and I saw that you wrote that LuciusRemus fic too. Kudos to you!!
