He developed and tested the anti venom that saved Arthur. imagine his surprise when that moment came and he lay incapacitated in the shrieking shack and he felt through his dark mark that the dark lord was no more that [character] stumbles in and attempts to help him just as the time travel method activates, flinging them both back into a different time and place. snape of course is enraged that his perfect plan to finally escape his hated life has gone to hell, while the other character is devastated at losing their whole life

He opens an apothecary or a potion place and fits right in, while other character struggles. Or 2) Snape grudgingly agrees to help the other character find a way to send them back and they become closer through the process.
